The Marlborough races were continued in good weather. There was a large attendance. The course was in god order. Results: — ” Waihopai Trot Handicap, one mile and a half.—l Gumond 1,2 Bolinda King 2, 3 Liglitwood 3. Scratched: Guystar. Won by two lengths. Time 3min 26sec.
Trial Hack Race, six furlongs.—4/3 Walton Park 1, 1/1 Bettwyscoed 2, 5/4 Porlock 3. Scratched: Gold Arrow and Helen Hayes. Won by a neck. Time, 1 min 16sec.
Waterlea Cup, one mile and a quarter.—2/1 Juggle 1, 1/1 Miladi 2, 3/3 Cape Fair 3. Scratched: Landmark, Pakitere. and Purse. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min 7sec. Omaka Handicap, seven furlongs.— 2/2 Purse 1, 1/1 Korero 2, 4/3 Cape Town '3. Scrached—Landmark, Sand and Nocturnus. Won by threequarters of a length. Time lmin 29£ sec.
Renwicktown Trot, one mile.—l Janice 1, 3 Guy Star 2,2 Bell o’ Mine 3. Scratched—Ligfhtwood, Bolinda King. Won by a. neck. The Southland Club’s meeting concluded in dull weather. There was a good attendance. The track was heavy. Myross Hack Handicap, seven furlongs.—s/5 Acla 1, 2/2 Mayam 2, 9/6 Gapnish 3. All started. Won by a length. Time lmin 33 2-ssec. Invercargill (Trot, one mile and a half.—6/6 Lindrum 1, ,7/2 Bronze Wave 2, 2/1 Frank Mac 3. Scratched—Rollicking Wave. Won by two lengths. Time 3min 46sec.
President’s, Handicap, six furlongs.— 1/1 Silver Streak 1, 2/2 Palermo ,2, 5/5 Irish. Birdcatcher 3. , Scratched—Leading Boy. Won by a length. Timeilmin 20 3-ssee.
Ritchie Memorial- Steeplechase, about two miles and a half.—X Diamond Jack i, 2 Nylotie 2. The only acceptors. After going live furlongs Nylotis fell. Time smin 3i3 4-ssec.
Awarua Handicap, one mile and a quarter.—2/3 Toreador 1, 4/2 Jack a Dandy 2, 6/6 Palmary 3. AH started. Won by a length and a. half. Time '2mm 21 4-ssec.
Bluff Hack Handicap, one mile.2/2 Great Shot 1, 6/5 Taragona 2, 1/1 Lochard 3. Scratched—Venite, Red, Sunset. Won by a length. Time lmin olsec ■ ... ■
Dash Trot Handicap, one mile.—2/1 Bronze Wave 1, 6/5 Surmy Southland 2, 3/3 Frank Mac 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Time-2mm 29 l-ssec.
Winter Oats Handicap, one mile.— 3/2 Sailing Home 1, 1/3 Red Boa 2, 2/1 Totoloinai 3. Scratched—Toreador. Won by a neck. Time lmin 51 l-ssec. Winter Oats Handicap.— 3-2 Sailing Home 1; 1-3 Red Boa ; 2-1 Totolomai 3. The field closed up at the straight and a great finish was seen. At the judge’s box, Sailing Home had a head victory over Red Boa; with Totolomai a neck away, then came Night Maid. Time 1.51 1-5
The tote handled £7,149 10s, as against £6,780 on the second day last year, a total for the meeting of £13,243, against £13,311. last year. Results:—

While schooling at 'Ellerslie this morning, the steeplechaser Master Robey fell at the sod wall and broke his neck.
SYDNEY TATTS MEETING.
SYDNEY, May 14
For Tattersalls Club races at Randwick on Saturday there was fine weather. Results:—
Flying Handicap.—Kichaka \'7.l) 1; Closing Time; (9.0) 2; Chemosh (7.4) 3. Time 1.32*. James Barnes’ Plate.—New King (8.4) 2; Veilmond (9.9) 3. Won by a neck. Time 2.213. Welter Handicap.—Ranchero (9.3) 1; Love Song (9.5) 2; Tortoni (9.1) 3. Won by half a length each way. Time 1.383.
An exhibition gallop was done by Winooka, who shortly sails for America, carrying J. Pike, and wearing Union Jack colours. Winoka looked a perfect picture, and cantered along the straigh to the accompaniment of applause from the race crowd. He galloped three furlongs in thirty-nine second?, and was cheered back to the nactciock.
Cherry Ripe reappeared after several months, font ran poorly in Two Year Old handicap races. Prestige was unplaced..
RADIO BETTING BAN,
(SYDNEY, May 14
The Australian Broadcasting Cdmmission, A class stations, have banned the broadcasting of betting prices immediately after races in a desire to help the Government to .suppress betting shops. Tt is understood the B Class 'Stations are being approached with the panic object.
