EX-DOMINIONS SECRETARY’S SON
JOHN AMERY WEDS IN ATHENS.
LONDON, May 3,
Mr John Amery, the 21-year-old son of Mr. L. IS. Amery, ia (former Dominions Secretary, and Miss Una Eveline Wing, aged 23, an actress, were married at Athens. 1 The ceremony was in' the private chapel of an Athens villa, and was performed by the Green Archimandrite, who had previously baptised the couple formed by the Greek Archimandrite
ivir An wry first aihiounced last August that he would marry Miss Una Wing. The Chelsea, registrar declined to perform the ceremony because Mr Amery was under ago. The young couple tried the French, Russian, Bulgarian and the American Pro-Catholic churches and the Belgian churches, but could get no help. Just when the pair had arranged to be married in Russia, Mr Amery had to return to London. His flat had been entered by burglars. A conference oil his father’s return from Canada ended in the son crossing the Channel by motor-boat and meeting Miss Wing in France. Later the couple Went to Greece.
