HUGE CYCLONE

SYDNEY, April 19

A terrific cyclone which passed over New Caledonia recently, wrought extensive damage, according to a wireless message from the Oronsay, which arrived at Noumea on a pleasure cruise. The message said that desolation was everywhere. Small ships w'ere carried high and dry by* huge seas. Numerous buildings were blown down, crops and trees were razed to the ground, and the water system was dislocated.
