CHRISTCHURCH, April 19.
'Shipping companies report- the Kiwitea, due at Lyttelton at noon, to-day from Dunedin, wire-leased that she was delayed by a storm and was not arriving till sever, this morning.

The gale, in the harbour delayed the Berthing of the Maori, and Waimariiio by -half an hour.
The motorship Rangit-ata wa« blown against the Gladstone Pier and leaned so -much, that th e superstructure damaged the undercarriage 0 f an electric and ia j pile on the - wharf was broken.
The officers of tli e Maori -report the gale at sea was exceptionally sever?. At Sunnier, the roof of the pumping station at Shag -Rock was blown o ff> and -a brick wall, 0 f a building under construction wa,s 'blown ;in. A workman at Sumner was blown off a bicycle-’-and had to b, 3 . assisted home, having injured h-'s hands. The wcatheg. improved later.
