A big grass and bush fire, fanned by the gale, is raging a.t- John Hackles’ station, Puhi. Valley, near Kaikoura, endangering • the station, house : and woolshed- Hundreds, of men are fighting the flames. The private wire is down and particulars are difficult to obtain;
