Covering .Western Ivaramea, Westport, Murchison, Reefton, Greymouth, Hokitika, Gtira, Arthur Pass, Ross Okuru, at noon to-day:— The westerly depression mentioned yesterday deepened considerably during last night, while- at the same time, it. rapid rise of pressure took place over eastern Australia. Conditions therefore favours a marked southerly change. The forecast, is for winds backing to southerlies, moderate to strong in force. Weather cold and showery, but later improving. Seas rough, with a southerly,swell.
