EASTERN STRIFE

JAPS LAUNCH GENERAL ADVANCE.

(United Press Association —Dy Electric Telegraph—Copyright)

(Received April 12 at 9.30 a.m.) KOBE, April 11.

An official statement declares that, patience, having been exhausted because the 'Chinese, mistaking restraint for weakness, stiff persist in attacking the Japanese position!*, a general advance south of the Wall has been launched.

Owing to their vast superiority in arms, the Japanese advance is rapid, the Chinese leaving equipment and corpses, and fleeing, and unless an agreement is reached as to the neutral zone, the halt will now be most difficult.
