Mastall's moved the second reading. of the Poultry Amendment Bill. Hon. Han;.n 'expressed the opinion tliat the Council would not be justified in passing the Bill without hearing (evidence from thos© whom it would affect. This view was supported by S'.r F. 1,). Bell who said th e evidence had been taken by. the committee of the Lower House and it. had presented an unfavourable report. The Conned should at least have the opportunity of hearing ©vidence which had convinced the Lower Ileus, Pi committeemen.
