VAST HOARD UNTOUCHED. ACCUMULATION .OF 60 YEARS. PARTS, December 20. In spite of the fact that £80,000,000 worth of gold lias boon shipped from India, during the last year there is still a vast hoard of untouched gold, estimated at . £600,000,000, which has accumulated in India between 1873 and 1931. Exports have made little impression on this-.“sink of gold,” neither have they affected women’s gold ornaments, which are still worn lavishly by the upper classes.
