For the first time since the inception of British broadcasting a foreign nation, namely Poland, lias protestedagainst a British programme, which, on December 31, comparing Poland and Germany, said that Poland was still spending a considerable- portion of her Budget on armaments. The Polish Ambassador, M. Constantin Skirnnmt, has complained to the Foreign Office about employing a British radio station for political propaganda- against a friendly nation. He sought 'lie prevention of such an abuse. The Broadcasting Corporation refused to make a statement.
