WILHELM CUNO

BERLIN, January 5. The death is recorded of Wilhelm Cuno, former Chancellor of th e Reich, a”d head of the Hamburg-Am erica Shipping Line. He was born in 1876, and .was Chancellor of the Reich in 1922 and 1923, ‘being forced to resign owing to tliig Ruhr strikes. .He was .educated at Hamburg and Berlin, and as general manager of the Hapag (Ham burg-Ame-rika Line) he concluded tho shipping agr e ement with the Harriman Line and wag a delegate to various conferences on international communications. During the war he was director of the Reich Corn Control Board.
