TIMARU, December 5. Tile conference held at Mt. Oook Hermitage at the week-end included representatives of numerous borough and county councils and S°uth Island organisations interested in the tourist traffic. It was decided to set up an Executive Committee comprising Messrs ■R. S. Black (Mayor of Dunedin), W B. Steel, and W. Bardsley, also of Dunedin, to draw up a ch'cular to be issued to " the local bodies and others interested with a view to securing their 00-operation in the establishment of the South Island Tourist League.
