First race to start at 12.25 p.m. 1. —DISTRICT HANDICAP (in .harness) of 50 sovs. Second' horse to receive 10 sovs. and the 3rd horse 6 sovs. from the Btake. For horse s which have been in one of the counties of Buller, Inangahua, Grey or Westland, or any West Coast Borough, for at least three months immediately prior to the race, and owned or leased by residents of the said Counties or Boroughs. Horses will be handicapped to do 2f.7 or better. Nomination 20s; acceptance 20s. 1J miles. 2. —RIMU GOLDFIELDS HANDICAP (in harness) of 55 sovs. Second horse to receive 11 sovs. and the 3rd horse 5 sovs. from the stake. For unhoppled trotters only.
