(Australian Press Association)
MELBOURNE, November 22. The match between the English team and an Australian eleven was continued to-day, but the match was not carried to a decision. The weather was threatening at the start and the wicket was inclined,to playx.tricks. Larwood and AlleiV opened the bowling for England when the Australian second innings began. Both were developing good pace. Woodfull was caught at shojfc stop before he had scored, in La r wood’i second over. Larwood was making the ball fly in a menacing way. Bradman commenced batting in a businesslike manner, and scored thirteen runs, 'after,,batting for seventeen nrinuts, and hitting one boundary. He then made a half-hearted stroke at a ball from Larwood, which took his off stump. Larwood had certainly the upper hand of both Bradman and Woodfull.
Immediately Bradman was dismissed a heavy downpour of rain began. This caused a suspension of play, and at 12.30 p.m. the wicket was saturated.
