GORSE FIRE FATALITY

Thursday afternoon, Mr Jacob iLafrentz, of Geraldine, had apparently been overcome by heat from a gors© fire and had fallen into it. He was discovered lying : among «omc burning gorse with a pitchfork beside (him. He was -subject to fainting fits and no inquest was considered necessary. Mr Lafrentz, who was an ©hlerly man, is survived hy two sons and two daughtem. M.P. HURT IN ACCIDENT. WELLINGTON, November 21. Mr D. S. Reid, Coalition M.P. was knocked' down by a motor cycle, in Willis Street at about five o’clock m Sunday afternoon, neurly opposite the Empire Hotel. Ho received a. lacerated wound to the right eye. slight concussion and abrasions to the right hand, and was taken to bis residence by the free ambulance.,
