The State Government has decided to drop the Destitute Persons Maintenance Bill, which wa s introduced recently by the Minister of Education, Mr D. Drummond. The members of a picnic party, near Liverpool, were effected with .ood poisoning yesterday, fifty adults and children suffering severely. The eaur? is uncertain, but the doctors found that one of tile patients was ill after eating tinned food and corned beef.
