EFFECT OF AMENDMENT

(Received + -his day at 9.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, November 18
Since the operation, of the Financial Emergency Act on September Ist., whereby relatives where possible are bound to contribute towards the pensions of those receiving them, two thousand invalid and old age pensions have already been surrendered, in all States. Another clause in the act provides that any pension money paid after October will become a charge on the property of the pensioner after his death.
