ENGLISH MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS

LONDON, Nov. 2.
In the municipal elections, the results so far available ‘ show little change. - y , ,‘ A slight net advantage has- been scored by Labour. This is due to the unemployment agitation. ? No (jommqnists have been elected. Ten Communists stood at Bolton, but they all were heavily defeated. Labour’s biggest success is at Oldham,, where they have captured six seats from the Conservatives. Labour lost heavily at Plymouth, where Conservatives captured six Labour seats and Liberals tww.
There is a ehange at Sheffield, which hitherto has been ruled by Labour. It is that Labour is now in a minority of two over the other parties combined.
At Manchester the Conservatives have a majority of ' 9 seats over all parties. . ,; ( ' i* Tjie gain's* and losses ' are" as follows:
