Strong opposition to the regulations for the control of road transport was expreseed by several speakers at a. meeting to-day of the North Canterbury Farmers’ Union. AR agreed that the burden of nvnsport costs on pro-' duce would notvlbe lessened but that it would be increased by - regulations which would create monopolies «nd destroy flexibility which was the greatest advantage of motor transport. A resolution Was carried expressing opposition to the regulations. /
