MOTOR-CAR SMASH

‘AUCKLAND, October 31. • * A head-on collision between two motor-cars, driven by Sir Donald McGavin, surgeon, of Wellington, and Mr W. T. F. Kells-Mason,- of Auck- A land, occurred in the Awakino Valley. Neither driver was hurt, but a womhn passenger in Mr Mason’s car, Miss Mary Flynn, received injuries' to her g face, which necessitated her admission to Te Kuiti Hospital. The accident occurred about two • miles from “The Tunnel,” in Awakino Valley. Sir Donald’s car was travelling from Wellingtont to Waitopio Caves. The other, j vehicle was proceeding southward to . Taranaki from Auckland. .
Both ccrs were damaged but Miss Flynn was the only occupant to suffer injury to any extent.
