IS A REAL DANGER TO THE WELFARE OF GERMANY. (United Press Association—By Electric Teiegraph—Copyright..' BERLIN, October 17. Despite there being official denials of the Socialist paper “Vonvaert’s” revelations concerning the Monarchist plot, the “Rhetnische Zeitung,” an organ of the Social Democrats, returns to the. subject, and it publishes extracts from a letter that the ex-Crown Prince wrote to General Greener, former Minister of Defence.

The newspaper Rhetnische Zeitung explains that it lias been forced to omit the decisive passages in the letter, which show that unless the exCrown. Prince is checked, he will cause the gravest of foreign political dangers. The ex-Crown Prince, in this letter, criticises as "a grave mistake” the dissolution of th© Hitlerite Storm Troops and body guards. He describes them as “wonderful human material, enjoying valuable training.” In another letter, to a Hitlerite, the Crown Princ© says: 'Though political parties may calumniate them, it is intolerable that the Steel Helmets and the Hitlerite. Forces* who are the real Upholders of the military idea in Germany, should combat with one another May they join hands, as in 1914-18, and place the Fatherland above sectional interests!

The Nazis have nominated General Litzman, aged 82, to oppose “Mad Clara” Zetkin, aged 75, for the speakership when the Reichstag re-assembles. General Litzman fought in the FraucoPrussian war and assisted Von Hindenhurg in breaking through the Russians in 1514. He later 'fought on the Western Front.

NAZIS AND SOCIALIST CLASH. FURTHER DISORDERLY SCENES. (Received th's dav at, 11.15 a.m.f VIENNA, October 17. Yesterday's fighting was worse than reported. The wounded numbered fifty, including twenty-four police. Seventy were arrested, including thirty four 'Socialists, who did most o.f the shooting. Further clashes occurred to-day. The Socialists were drawn up prepared to attack the troops, and were armed with machine guns, their intentions were only checked by the appeals of a Socialist deputy. Meanwhile, serious fighting took place at the university where the Nazis, armed with truncheons, steel rods, and knives, shouting ‘ “revenge for the simmering wounded,” tramped down and truncheoned twenty Jewish students.
