Mrs J. O. Tern pier (Waimate) defeated Miss B. Rutherford' (Hawarden) 8 up and 7 in the final of the Dominion .ladies’ golf championship to-day. The winner, who, as Ronnie Wright, hdd the title in 1919 and 1921), Ims shown consistent form throughout the tournament, and her victory wars very pomilar. The result gives a clear indication of the merit of the players mi the day. Mrs Templer 4 up at the turn in the morning round, increased her lead to 6 at the next two holes. Miss Rutherford then staged a recovery. hut at the completion of the first eighteen holes, Airs Templer was 4 up. At the 27th. Mrs Templer was 7 up, ;v>d the match finished at the 29th. The winner played a great short game, and 1 outclassed her opponent on tlm greens.
