LATEST FIGURES IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October 11. The Ministry of Labour states the number of insured persons in employment on September 26th was made substantially fewer owing tp a trade dispute in the manufacturing section of the cotton industry, otherwise, there would have been an increase of about 37,000. in the number of persons in work compared with a month ago, and about 31,000 with one year ago. The total numbers of the unemployed on the registers on September -26 wei u 2,119,218, rt'holly unemployed. 639.160 temporarily stopped,; • and 99;363 normally in casual employment, a. total which is 1817 less than the number on the registers in August. They comprise 2,303 i, 182 men, 79,64J4‘ boys, 420,034 women and 56,151 girls.'
