There was a small yarding of fat lambs, practically .tr.jU end Tots, at the Addington stock market. Schedule rates were the order of the day, excepting for prime lots, wh.ch met- with fair competition 'from local butchers. Beat heavy lambs sold up to 16s lOd, prime 9s Gd to 13s, medium 7s Gd to 9s, inferior from 5s 6d. ’ , ' There was a medium yarding of‘fat sheep, with only a few outstanding consignments. Best quality met' keen competition, other sorts selling at late rates.

There was a slightly larger offering of beef, prime consignments being in minority. The market whs erratic. Attractive lots met keen competition at values that were out of proportion to the plainer cattle. Best heavy bullocks sold to £l3 12s 6d, prime £8 5s to £9 15s, medium £6 to £7 7s Gd, light from £3 7s Gd. Best heavy heifers sold to £lO 7s Gd, prime £6'7s s 6d to £7 7s Gd, medium £4 15s to £5 15s, light from 50s. . Heavy prime'cows' sold ■up to £9 7s Gd, prime £5 5s "to £6 <l2s 6d, medium £3 15s to £4 12s Gd, inferior from £2. There was fo small yarding of store sheep with an improvement in quality. Good quality in lamb ewes met fair competition. Wethers were easier. There was a small yarding of fat pigs. Porkers were in very short sum ply, resulting in a sharp advance in values. Baconers were a. little easier. Porkers sold from 26s Gd to 34s Gd, heavy 37s Gd to 43s Gd, choppers 575 : Gd to £6 Is Gd; baconers from 47s Gd to 54s Gd, heavier 57s Gd to £3; extra heavy to £3 15s.
