QUESTION OF STERILISATION.

A committee to inquire into the questeion of the sterilisation of mental defectives has been set up by the British Health Ministry, with' Mr L. G. Brock (Chairman of the Board of Control) as Chairman. The,committee will examine and report on any information available regarding hereditary transmission and other causes of mental disorders and deficiencies. It will conthe value of sterilisation as a preventative measure, having regard to its physical psychological, and social effects, and in regard also to the experience of legislation in other countries. The committee will suggest any further lines of inquiry.
