PROBATION EXTENDED. (By Telegraph —Ber Brets Association) TIAfARU, Feb. 25. Alaurice Walter Adams, who is already on probation, pleaded guilty to stealing copper valued at 16s 6d, the property of A 1 lister Alclvenzie, of Hakatarnmea.
Sergeant Hodgson stated that defendant sold the copper for Is 6d. His excuse to the police was that he wanted the money to purchase a teat for his baby’s bottle. The Probation Officer gave a good report of accused’s conduct, apart from this lapse. Probation was extended for eighteen months.
