STOCK SALE. \ AT ARAHURA YARDS. Messrs M. Houston and Co. report:—The usual fortnightly sale was held mt the albove yards yesterday, our entry consisting of 68 fat sheep, 24 fat cattle and 20 head of store cattle, which were submitted to the usual (attendance of buyers. Fat sheep sold on a par with Addington rates, whilst prices were fully maintained for fat cattle, the bulk of which comprised light summer beef. Stock was sold as r.llows: —On account of T. Staines 25 wethers ,at 14s, 18 ewes at 12s, 13 wethers at 14s, 12 at 14s. On account of W. J. Houston 2 fat steers at £7 7s 6d, 2 at £G 17s 6d, 2 heifers at £7. 6 steers at £6 17s f>d, 8 heifers at £6 10s. 2 steers at £6 17s 6d. On account of Airs To leer 2 cows at £2 10s. On account of P. McDonald 7 2£yr. store steers at £3 15s, 4 18mos. steers at £2 7s Gd, G ylg. steers at £1 9s, 1 cow and calf at £4. PRODUCE PRICES. Messrs TV. Weddell and Co. Ltd., London, cable under date 20th. January as follows:—Danish butter 115 s to 117 s; N.Z. Finest 94s to 965; “Kangaroos” 93s to 955. Butter market weak. N.Z. Choose, White, 56s to 575; N.Z. Cheese. Coloured, 55s to 565, Cheese market slow.
