LANDED A BIG ONE

MISS YULE GOES FISHING. RUSSELL, January 20. Miss Gladys Yule on her first day out deep-sea fishing was successful in landing a hammerhead shark weighing 2901 b off Piercy Island, this being the first of this kind she has caught. No exciting fight was made, although ■the fish took three-quarters of an hour to land. Miss Yule accompanied her mother, ILady Yule. They made a fairly early start from Russell in the launch Zane Grey, but found on arrival at Cape Brett that there was an unexpected scarcity of school fish and sea birds. They were able to secure bait, however, and soon commenced fishing.
