The counting of 132 postal votes has increased Mr Atmore’s lead over Mr- Everett to 83. There are still 403 absentee votes and 15 seamen’s votes to be counted. NELSON FINAL. NELSON, December 7. Final for Nelson : 11. Atmore 4741, H. E. Everett 4045. Majority of Atinore 96. ALLEGED PLURAL VOTING. AUCKLAND, December 5. Several cases of suspected plural voting have been revealed during the scrutiny of the electoral rolls in certain Auckland constituencies.
In at least two cases the returning officers have asked the police to institute inquiries. In other cases members of the electoral staffs are themselves asking the voters for an explanation.
