ATTEMPTED HOLDUP
TIMARU MAN ATTACKED, '
TIMARU, November 3
A young Timaru man alleges that he was the victim of an attempted hold-up when on his way home in the early hours of one morning last week. He states that lie was returning to his home in Waimaitaitai after spending the evening with friends when he was set upon by two men. Fortunately he had a heavy spanner with him and was able to defend himself, his attackers decamping after a brief scuffle. He could advance no theory as to why lie should have been attacked.
