Teichlemann, Esquire, Chairman Westland Progress League, N.Z. James A.' Murdoch, Esquire, Chairman High School Board of Governors, N.Z.

W. J. Butler, Esquire, Chairman Westland Electric Power Board, N.Z. Malcolm H. Houston, Esquire, Chairman Hokitika Harbour Board, N.Z. Dear Sirs:—

It is a real pleasure to express to you, on behalf of the Chairman and Officers and Directors of this Company the great appreciation all of us felt upon receiving from Mr Radford the address so graciously presented by the Mayor of Hokitika on the occasion of the launching of the new hull for the dredge at Rimu Flat, and in readmg the kindly sentiments and good wishes set forth therein.

The knowledge that our enterprise and its management are well esteemed in your community is indeed gratifying.

We on our part dsire to express to each and all of you, and through you to the people of Hokitika and Westland, our grateful recognition of the fairness, the great spirit of helpfulness and friendship, always so fully manifested towards our Company and its representatives bv the officials and peopde of New Zealand, the Count; of Westland, and tlie Borough of Hokitika. Our sincere desire is that our enterprise may continue to merit the high regard of your community.
