The Prime Minister, Mr Ramsay MacDonald, stated in the House ol Commons, that the Government proposed to give facilities at an early date, for a motion on the subject of tire payment of their salaries to those members who, in future, might be suspended from tire services of the House. Following the recent disorder in the House, the opinion had been growing among members of all parties that additional penalties for disorderly behaviour were desirable, and the Prime Minister’s announcement foreshadowed consultations with ’ the Party leaders on the exact terms of the motion.
