(By Telegraph —Per Press Association ) P' WELLINGTON, duly 15. At .the winter sale of thoroughbreds held at Trentham, before a large .attendance, Mr S. J. Gibbons’ mares were all passed, but a colt, rising two years, sold on his behalf by Wright Ahphensou and Co., Ltd., realised the top price of 280 Airs 0. Elgar’s horses, in training, were* all sold with the exception of Tenterden, who failed to reach the reserve. The. top prices were 200 guineas apiece,, for Count Palatine and Grecian. The former was brought by Mr T. A. Duncan, of Hunterville. Grecian produced spirited competition, being purchased by Mr -W. D. Moroney, who purchased Ye.rtir gem, and is to be returned to Mis Elgar at the termination of his racing career. RE,HANDICAPS. r WELLINGTON, July 16.
