STEAMER STRANDED
AT ONEHUNGA. •By Telegraph—Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 15. When the Government steamer Matai was leaving Onehuiiga for New Plymouth and Wellington at 10.30 th s morning, she was stranded on a muci bank about 300 yards from the wharf. After remaining fast all day, the vessel floating off with the rising t : de this evening, and returned to the wharf. The bank is all of soft mud, and no damage was done to the vessel, which will resume her trip to-morrow mom-
