CHICHESTER’S PROGRESS. (Received this day at 10 15 a.m.) MANILA. July 14. A message from Ormoct to-day says: Chichester is having a difficulty, which is delaying his departure for Manila. Attempting to take off from neat Naungati at noon the plane refused to rise twice because of a lack of wind and the heavy load of petrol. Later messages states .that Chichester arrived at Masbate, Masha to .Is land, from Ormoct and will make n flight to Manila to-morrow. airmen crash, but LANDED SAFELY. MOSCOW, July 14. I.ebrix and Loret’s machine crashed fifty miles from Nyinudinsk. Both parachuted safely in the darkness. One injured his knee in landing. Soviet airmen are hurrying to their rescue. The airmen had covered approximately 4200 miles, 740 below Costes record, when they crashed.
