In Invercargill the other day a young man. was carrying a. suitcase out of a shop, and across the pavement preparatory to placing it in a car, when unexpectedly one of the metal fastenings on the side of the suitcase came undone, A large shower of widely-as-sorted objects and articles of dress descended to the footpath (says the Southland Times), much to the embarrassment of the young man, as the garments included some of the more intimate sections of women’s apparel, Like all suitcases, this one had been packed tight almost to bursting, and the amount of “gear” strewn before a rapidly growing crowd seemed appalling.
