The First Commissioner of AN orks M George Lansbury, announced in riie House of Commons that it is propose to open the Retailical Gardens in llogent’s Park to tbe pulic, free of charge, and to maintain them as pait of Regent’s Park. The decision follows the resolve ol the Treasury that all Crown land in Regent’s Park to the public, free of Gardens, shall revert to the public as tli leases fall due. The gardens of the Royal Hotanie Society are at present only available to the public on two days a week, and then on payment of a fee of one shilling. On other days an order of a fellow of the society is required.
