SYDNEY MURDER

TAXICAB DRIVER SHOT. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, June i 7. A mysterious murder was perpetuated at Maroubra, a Sydney suburb, last night, and was discovered to-day. Frederick Moffitt was found shot through the breast. The body was in a sitting position at the steering wheel in his cab, at a lonely spot.

Many shots were heard bv neighbours, but as the night was a wet and dismal one. nobody ventured out to investigate.

The police express the opinion that Moffitt is the victim of an underworld feud as tne shots were apparently fined from the roadway at short range. There were several bullet holes in the •ah. i
