A CONFIDENCE MAN. , (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, June 13. A New Zealander, who recently travelled from Wellington to Sydney, met an affable stranger aboard, who conversed about the big profits of his theatrical venture. at Singapore, and GTV induced the New Zealander to accept a partnership for £3OO. Upon reaching Sydney, the New Zealander handed over two hundred New Zealand notes, to he changed into gold. The stranger disappeared altogether with the money. A deteetiye arrested a man at Newton, and at the same time seized 136 New Zealand notes.
