ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, April 29. The tendency cf live stock prices at the Addington sale to-day was lower, but the market was quite irregular There was a full yarding of beet with the greater percentage of steers of mixed, quality. Medium and plain sorts were hard to quit. Extra heavy steers sold to €l7 12s fid, prime £l2 t 0 £l4 *>s medium £9 to £lO 10s, plain from £<, extra heavy heifers to £l2 12s fid, prime £7 5s to £8 15s, medium £4 os to £6 ss, best cows to £ll 2s fid, prune £6 10s to £ 15s, medium £4 10s to £o 15s, inferior 'from 37s fid. Store lambs were forward in smaller numbers. The best fine wools made up to late rates. Inferior and backward lots were irregular. Store wethers met a steady sale at late rates. The ewes comprised mainly small lots, from distant localities, and met an irregular- market. There whs a large yarding of fat sheep mixed in quality. All grades were on a by about Is fid per head. Extra heavy wethers sold up to 17s lOd, prime 14s to lfis, medium 11s fid to 13s fid, light Os to U.s, inferior from 7s fid. Extra heavy ewes sold up to 14s Midi, prime 10s fid to 12s, medium 8s fid to 10s, light Gs -fid to Bs, interior from 4s fid.
There was a large yarding of fat lambs, very mixed in quality, but some especially good lines were foniaid.; There was ah sale, with a de- } cline in medium sorts. Extra prince lambs -sold .to 20s 4d, prime 15s 3d to 17s„ medium 14s to 15s. light Us' 3d to 13s fid, inferior from 9s fid. there was a medium yarding of fat pigs. Pork was on a par with late rates, and bacon was easier. \ allies were: Porkers 38s to 42s fid, larger 44s fid to 47s fid, choppers from £3, Inn-oners 48s fid to 58s fid, heavier £3 to £3 10s.
