CHRISTENING THE NAUTILUS. WHY HE CHOSE WATER. [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) NEW YORK, March 24.

Sir Hubert Wilkins chose water instead of champagne for christening the “Nautilus” to-day He said: — “I do not beloive it would be becoming or proper of me as a British .subject to begin so important an enterprise by violating the laws of the United States. I am not a prohibitionist. The Nautilus where it is articled, has a score of liquors for medical purposes. We were offered champagne for the christening, but out of respect, foi the American law it is not being used.”
