MILLION TICKETS. [United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. ] LONDON, March 23. The gigantic Irish sweepstake on. the Grand National Steeplechase produced -a remarkable scene at the Dublin Mansion House, where there were three hundred girls employed at seven long trestle-tables throughout the day mixing 3,576 thousand counterfoils of ten shilling tickets. Following this thorough mixing, tlm counterfoils were placed in a great steel drum, ready for the draw, which is on Tuesday.

Armed police are guarding the steel drum day and night till the drawing. An interesting development is the presence in Dublin of sixty bookmakers who are ready to make offers as soon as the drawing is announced.

CREAT CROWD AWAITS DRAW. (Received this dav at 9. a.m.) DUBLIN, March 24. It is officially announced that the total receipts in the Grand National (Sweepstake amounted to £1,755,963 Prize money £1,181,815. First price '£334,644, second £177,272, third £.118,191, A great crowd awaited the draw. But with the exception of one South African, all drawers of horses are residents of Britain.

LUCKY WINNERS. WELLINGTON, March 25. A Wellington resident, N. S. Hunt, has drawn a consolation prize of £llßl in the Irish sweep. The Y.M.C.A. points out that Drimmond was drawn by residents of Clapham Road Hostel, many of whom are not members of the Association.
