FULTON MEDALS

AN AWARD MADE. WELLINGTON, March 23. Under the will ol Mr J. E. Fulton, M.1.C.E., of Wellington, for many years one of the Dominion’s loading engineers, provision is made for the annual award of two medals, one in gold for the best paper by a member or associate member of the New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers, and one in silver for the best paper by a student contributed during the year. The first award of the gold medal was made to Mr A. R. McKillop, A.M.1.C.E., of the City Engineer’s staff, Wellington, at the annual general meeting of the Wellington branch of the Society, for a paper read before the Society on storm water control. There was no award of the silver medal. The awards are decided bv the trustees, who have the right to withhold an award should they consider the papers to be of insufficient merit.
