All qualifying matches in the championship belt series were completed at Trenthani this morning and forty leading marksmen will go down at the mounds this afternoon for the final ten rounds at 900 yarcls for the Kings prize. It is anticipated that Dlclver will have no difficulty in winning the title.

The second place, in the fortv is taken by McTver’s Club mate, E. A. Ballinger, with a score of 373. Obtaining the possible in the two range Otago match this morning. Ballinger lias moved up considerably from the position ho originally occupied among the early loaders for the King’s event Other positions in the forty are occupied by C. J. Nix (Featherston) and \V. N. Dlnsefiold (Marlborough) each with scores of 372.

Otago match called for ten rounds at 890 and 909 yards, and although numerous possibles were made at individual ranges, the winner Ballinger, was the onlv marksman to make the possible at the two ranges. The shoot off between McTver and TT. A’. Croxton (Karori) to decide the winner of the Australian aggregate resulted in a win for McTver.
