ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES

FATAL CAR ACCIDENT. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WAIEUKUEAU. March 23. Arthur McDonald Suelling, aged twenty-four, single, a stock agent, was killed instantly on the Tumumu-Pat-an-gata Road. Deceased was with a friend George Winlove, who was driving a car and when rounding a corner came suddenly on a mob of sheep. Winlove applied the brakes and the tyre rim of the front right wheel came off. the car swerving towards the hank striking a deep washout and overturning on its side. Winlove was thrown clear and Suelling was pinned under the hood of the car sustaining a dislocated neck.
