WANGANUI WOOL SALES. PRICES SLIGHTLY HIGHER. g (By Telegraph—Per Press A ssociation) WANGANUI, March 23. Keen, well sustained buying,’marked the opening of Wanganui wool sales today, when 18,000 bales, were submitted, the offering principally comprising medium top making , wools, few super tones being catalogued. Compared with last Wellington sale, prices quoted were Lilly half a penny per pound higher. The principal competition came from continental buyers, the home trade operating sparingly. . France was well in the market for bellies and pieces. The prices of these was fully half a penny per pound higher than W ellington. A few lines of supercrossbred brought good competition from Japan and Continental buyers. Compared with last Wanganui sale prices were from 3d to 4d per pound higher. A good clearance from all catalogues was effected. There was a full bench of buyers. ,
