£9 WEEK MAINTENANCE. (Ihj Telegraph —Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 20. David Richards, retired University Professor, is to pay his wife, Mrs Hinemoa Corelli Charlotte Richards, £9 per week for maintenance, and £SO for past maintenance. This is the decision of Magistrate McNeil, who gave his reserved judgment to-day on the claim of his wife for maintenance on the grounds of persistent cruelty. The petitioner was granted custody of the child. Defendant was ordered to enter a bond for £2OO with the Public Trustee that the order would be complied with. Thirty guineas costs were allowed the petitioner’s solicitor. Mr Mazengard for defendant, said that an appeal was likely.
