SKIING IN CITY STREETS. (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright,). LONDON, March 9. Snow-laden winds have swept Britain during the week-end. There lias E'en a fifty' mile an hour gale, causing damage along the coasts. Edinburgh City is deep under snow, and tbe people are skiing in the streets. The deer have been driven down from the Highlands in search of food, and have become tame. At a funeral at Strom ness, in the Orkneys, the coffin was drawn on a sledge, and the mourners were kneedeep in snow. Two youths, in a motor-boat, gallantly rescued the crew of seventeen of a vessel in the teeth, of the blizzard.
