In every section of fat stock at the Addington market on Wednesday, a fall in values was recorded. The most striking was perhaps that in fat lambs, where values receded by 2s 6d a. head. Two export buyers operated, but only one did so to any extent. The yarding was a large and fairly attractive one ) hut prices were well down from tho outset. Values were equal to from 6ld to 7d, compared with 8d paid last week. Fat sheep were yarded in larger number than they were last week, and also attracted the attention of an export buyer. The heavier sheep showed a decline in price of im to 2s a. /head, hut the operations of the export buyer oil the lighter sorts kept the price there from falling to the same extent. For lighter sheen, the decline was up to Is a head. The yarding of fat cattle was large, but was one of the most unattractive seen for some time at Addington. Prices easily gave fm indication that thev would he down, and the fall over th-‘ ■’•hoD tv. 0 *! from 30s to P‘2 a bend. The bulk of the offering was made on of old and unattractive cows, and tbe few steers forward were generally not very well finished.
