A SOCIALIST MOVE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright i ' ’ LONDON, October 23. .Tlie “Daily Telegraph” says the British public will.learn with amazement that the Socialists Government has addressed Embassies and Legations abroad suggesting the curtailment of acts of remembrance at war memorials, including the cenotaph at Whitehall and Unknown Wariors’ graves at Westminister Abbey. The newspaper adds that the proposal first emanated from a junior Socialist Minister. N.Z. EXHIBITS. LONDON. October 23. Hon. Geo. Forbes and Sir T. Wilf-nrd visited a North London Homo Life Exhibition at Alexandra Park, where New Zealand had a stand from which they expect to sell ten thousand samples of butter and cheese and five thousand of honey. This is one of twentytwo exhibitions at which New Zealand had stalls in the past year.
